RATIFICATION OF RULE CHANGES TO THE ALRC SUPPLEMENTARY COMPETITION REGULATIONS
At the Association of Land Rover Clubs S&ORC meeting held on the 3 rd July 2021 there was a discussion about the use of cameras used in conjunction with video monitors whilst on competition sections. This was seen as a potential safety issue. The following rule change was proposed at this meeting and ratified by the ALRC Council for immediate implementation. Section D – Regulations Applicable to all Competition Events D.2. General Safety D.2.1. Whilst travelling forward, the use of live view video monitors in the vehicle to give a front or side view is prohibited. Clubs are reminded that the Council members are voted into their positions on the basis of their experience and willingness to support the running of the ALRC for the benefit of all its members. I would appreciate it, if you could pass on this information to your club members and if you have any queries about the above then please get in touch with me.

Changes to Log Booking payments
At the ALRC Council meeting held on the 12 June 2021 the issue of payment for the log booking of CCVT / Comp Safari vehicles was discussed as there have been several payments that have not been able to be processed.
In future all payments should be made in cash to the log book scrutineer at the time of the check taking place – £5 for a five year re-check, and £10 for the second signature on a new build. Payments for any changes of name and address should still be sent direct to Dennis Wright.
I would be grateful if you could publicise this information to your club members via your websites and club magazines and thank you for your help with this matter.
Kind regards
Simone
